Are We Hard-Wired To Choose Our Devices?!

Standard

Are we hard-wired to choose our devices? That’s a great question to think about! There are Apple people and there are Android people (people that prefer blackberry and WP7 are so rare today we won’t include them!). Why is this? It has been proven that everything about us such as; the way we look, act, and personal taste all come from our DNA. What draws a user in about an OS? As a fan and user of many iOS devices I like the candy-like look and feel of the OS. Everything about iOS has a polished and upscale almost futuristic look. Android, to me, looks very stale and unimaginative no matter the OS. I also don’t like how fragmented the Android OS is. With a new Android device coming out almost everyday it’s hard for developers to make quality apps! When it comes to being an Apple or Android person its usually a matter of preference. Too often I’ve heard many Android users say they will not buy the iPhone because its to popular. By that logic that would mean the android outsells the iPhone making Android the popular device, there’s even stories that show Android outselling iPhone! So, when I hear an android user say that I just think “How Stupid!”. I also hear “I’ll wait till they get all the bugs out before I buy an iPhone”. Really!!!, every iteration of the Android OS has had tons more bugs than every version of iOS COMBINED!!! You can usually tell an Apple and Android person apart usually based on style of dress just like the Mac vs. PC ads! So the thesis of this would be, is choosing Apple over Android and vice versa part of who we are deep down in our DNA?!
